What makes Chris Linderkugelal, Store Manager OPS, (13000 Lake City Way NE, Seattle, WA 98125) the Best Grocery Manager in Washington State? Great work ethic, Chris leads by example, when I told the Customer Service clerk I lost the business card Chris gave me, the clerk tells me, "he's really busy right now working" and thought WOW that impressive that the clerk knows how hard Chris works. Well she called, Chris and he was kind enough to take time to give me his business card a second time. 1) Chris says most of his employees live walking distance from the store and local employees have a greater sense of "Pride for their Community." 2) He says, most of the staff was already in place when he took over as manager, but I have observed that Chris is like a basketball guru coach, who has to manager people with different personality types. I've observed that the upper level store staff appear to be happy to be working in a team environment where their ideas and suggestion are welcome and implemented. 3) Chris has great staff like his Electronics Manager Casey Fischer is the Best Electronics Manager in Washington State and his Assistant Manager is ready for promotion as well. 4) When I told Chris, I love how he has the Last Chance reduced price section. He said, "there is a balance he has to maintain" and I understand now what he works so hard at is "maintaining the balance of presentation of products for sale." 9/21/24 While doing some shipping at Fred Meyer, We discovered this is not the store we were planing on going to, but a different one in mind. Nevertheless, this store is pretty spacious just the same. The TV Center's area reminded me of Toysrus and Best Buys electronics section. We saw Gred Meyer is all set up for Halloween and Thanksgiving. I saw Twix Halloween candy called Twix Ghoulish Green. This is a Halloween-themed version of the Twix candy bar that features a milk chocolate shell, chewy caramel, and a crisp green cookie center. It is also a candy I have been talked out of buying twice by my wife while in Seattle. This year though, I did buy some Sparkling Ice Drinks that are flavored with the taste of Starburst Candy. So far, the Orange Candy is in the lead as my favorite. This place is will organized and very clean from what I saw. I also did not see anyone's pants sagging blow their asses. Something I saw a lot of in Washington DC area. I did notice a lot of homeless people hanging about and asking different people for money. It explains why some massage places had their doors locked and checked to see who is at the door before opening. We will be back to visit this store, but at a different location.

Let me tell you about Lamont, not only did he help us as an employee...he became a friend. Excellent customer service! We were looking for patches to patch up our inner tubes and he went above and beyond to not only find it but he found us while we were shopping. We appreciate you, thank you for your help!

The Shoreline Fred Meyer is overall pretty good but here I really want to recognize and commend the pharmacy there. In my many years as a customer, their professionalism, efficiency and people-oriented service has kept me coming back despite it not being the closest to my home. A couple of weeks ago, I needed to fill new prescriptions for my husband following day surgery. Once he was settled at home I realized that I barely had enough time to make it to the pharmacy before closing time. The prospect of waiting overnight without his medications for pain, etc. was devastating; in a panic I called the pharmacy. Most pharmacies don't have the time or staff to listen thoughtfully and make the best efforts to help when calls like mine come in right before closing but the SL pharmacist and staff were wonderful. I can't thank them enough--

It's a strange experience to shop here every time, just due to the customers. You never know what you're going to experience. But that being said, it's a solid Fred Meyer. Prices are affordable and they have everything that you could need. Staff are really friendly. It's often packed with customers and can be a little overwhelming. I also don't love the layout, with it being two floors and the only way up is the elevator.

I just had a great experience with Scott at the pharmacy. It was less than ten minutes to closing and I walked up and inquired if he had a medication in stock, and if so if he could transfer the prescription from QFC location to his location. He joyfully confirmed my information, then confirmed that he had the prescription, went about asking the QFC to allow him to transfer the prescription then he filled it. Also I had a poor experience with a competitor with a refill, while we were checking out he answered my questions about their prescription refill process, and how many days after requesting the prescription from the doctor they would follow up, which was 2 to 3 days. (The competitor had not followed up on a refill request for approximately 10 days.) All in all, this was a wonderful and patient centered experience. I deeply appreciate Scott's service.
